The first appointment may encompass one or all of the following examinations/treatments based on the patient’s individual situation. Please allow 60-90 minutes for the first appointment.

Chiropractic Examination and Treatment

A full head to tail motion palpation of every joint in the animal’s body and adjustment of any subluxations found.

Passive Musculoskeletal Examination

Palpation of joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments can often reveal subtle issues before they cause a lameness or become pathologic.

TCVM, Acupuncture and Herbology

A complete Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) examination and acupuncture treatment with herbal recommendations provided if appropriate.

Visual and In Motion Hoof Balance Evaluation

The saying "No Hoof, No Horse" is still true today. Improper hoof balance can strain tendons and ligaments and cause misalignment of joints which leads to degenerative changes (osteoarthritis). The addition of hoof balance radiographs can help your farrier and veterinarian work together to restore proper balance.

Basic Saddle Fit Analysis

Basic overview of proper saddle fit, examining several saddles if necessary. Referral to a saddle fitting specialist if there are any suspected issues.

Dental Balance Analysis

Visual inspection of dentition and how it’s balance relates to the temperomandibular (TMJ) joint and the stomatognathic system.
